Internationally known Prairie School architect, George W. Maher, designed and built The Kenilworth Club in 1907.  The building is a one-story clubhouse, consisting of one large ballroom with two adjacent smaller rooms which can be separated by folding pocket doors. Additionally, the clubhouse has a fully equipped, working kitchen.  The larger of two adjacent rooms is the intimate Neighbors’ Room, complete with a working fireplace.

Rental Fees for Club Members:

$1,500                     Saturdays

$300 - $1,000           Fridays and Sundays (based on the number of guests)

$300 - $750             Mondays – Thursdays (based on the number of guests)

 

Rental Fees for Guests:   

$2,750           Saturdays

$2,200           Fridays and Sundays

$1,000          Weekdays

 

$250             Setup Fee for Ceremonies / Use of Club Grounds (in addition to the standard Rental Fee)

 

Signed Contract with a 50% deposit is required to secure a date.

Catering:      

Please refer to our list of preferred caterers as well as our catering guidelines.  If you plan to use a caterer who is not familiar with our space, we require that arrangements are made for the caterer to tour the facilities prior to your event.  Caterers are required to leave the facility as it was found.  All equipment that is used, including china, flatware and glassware, must be washed and put away at the conclusion of the event.  Restaurants are permitted to cater events, provided that adequate service staff is engaged.

Amenities:    

Fully air-conditioned, fireplace, sound system (single CD / iPod compatible), projection screen, baby grand piano (stage only), upright piano, street parking in area.

 

Gratuities:          

It is appropriate to offer a gratuity to our custodial staff on the day of your event.  Envelopes and suggested amounts can be obtained from the club’s manager.                  

 

Policies:               

Events with a  majority of underage guests must provide security either through the Kenilworth Police Department (847.251.2141) or a private security contractor.
